Location:
Nepal is a small, sorveign independent, beautiful Himalayan kingdom of high Himalayan mountain, artistic monuments, exotic wildlife and diverse cultures. The Federal Republic of Nepal covers an area of 1,47,181 square kilometers and stretches 145-241 kilometers north to south and 850 kilometers west to east.It is located between India and China with the northern latitude 260-21’-300-26’ N and eastern latitude 800-31’ - 880 12’ E. Kathmandu is the capital city of Nepal.

It covers 0.03% land of the world and 0.3% land of the asian continent.Its area is 1,47,181 square kilometers.Its shpe is perpendicular with the east-west length of 850 kilometers, and its north south width is nearly 145-241 kilometers.The northern belt of Nepal lies the Himalayan regions the hilly region with fertile valleys in the middle of the marrow stripe of plaon Terai in the south.
The country can be divided in three main geographical regions.
A. Himalayan Region (snow land): The altitude off the region between 4877m to 8848m. It covers around 15% land of the total area of Nepal. It includes 8 of the highest peaks on the world over height 8,000 m above the sea level.
B. Mountain Region(High Land) : The region covers around 68% of the total land area of Nepal.
C. Terai Region(Low Land/Plain): It occupies about 17.1% of the total land area of the Nepal.
The People and the Culture:
Nepal have many ethnic groups as varied as its land with their own language and cultures. In kathmandu valley there are Newars, whose culture and artistry have earned them an international reputation. The Sherpa of the Himalayan are known as tough of mountain climbers while Brahmins and Chhetris are scattered over the hills and valleys. The Magar, Rai, Gurung and Limbus of the mid hills have earned fame as Gurkhas Soldiers. Low land ethnic groups such as the Maithili, Bhojpuri and Tharu, enhance the colorful mosaic. The population of Nepal is about 2.5 millions.

BusinessHours:
The normal work week is six and half day for Friday. The office hours for civil services, bank and business organization is from 10 am to 5 pm. Industrial workers has a 48 hours work week and may work in shifts.
Official Holidays:
Saturday is the weekend holidays in Nepal. Most of the government offices and business are closed on Saturdays.
